俗套爱情剧，俗但是喜欢，just like comfort food
欢喜冤家针锋相对的表象下隐藏着互相欣赏。男主高大迷人，女主明艳动人，两人的互动让人嘴角上扬。
我相信很多影迷不买账的原因除了摸不着头脑的氛围营造（对白、配乐等），很重要的一点在于这种后《出租车司机》人设真的已经挺多的了，施拉德自己编剧的《穿梭阴阳界》也有很高的相似度。所以核心还是看人物动作—算牌以及牌局与主题的结合，我觉得是挺不错的。伊萨克在牌桌上的遭遇就是他人生境遇的缩影—本无意却不得不，在可控情况下才能勉强掌控的自己的命运，而一旦与伤害自己的体制搏斗，最终都会如期失败。将他自己所崇拜的布列松式存在主义命题加入美国社会观察，几乎一直都是施拉德的创作母题，本片亦不例外。
