The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 比起逃出夺命镇和我们，这片或许太直白了。
很老旧但还是喜欢的题材～洛佩慈状态很不错，很有巨星风采～整体完成度比迷失高一些，也很结合现实了～
可能需要再看遍《诺丁山》来治愈。我爱庸俗浪漫中那份生活的诗意，梦幻的“诺丁山式爱情”。并不是流水线直播版“超级巨星爱上我”。本片唯一亮点可能仅仅是詹妮弗·洛佩兹的本色出演，舞台风采十足，片中几首歌最近倒是循环。
剧情很俗套，又挺甜的。那就听听歌，磕磕糖。
算是当代诺丁山，从其中女明星的形象变换倒能看出些时代里价值观的变化。女明星结过三次婚，前夫有过艳照门，现任又和助理出轨，但她还是一心向爱。虽然故事浅薄得经不住考究，但是看看J Lo大秀舞台和变装还是有点意思。

二十年前的明星配二十年前的剧情，我全程都在尴尬。如果不是JLo粉建议跳过，我也只是想看下OW，但他老了好多TAT。歌真难听。

当现生足够压抑的时候还是需要一些romcom来当一下调味剂。虽然离谱上天，Owen Wilson也已近乎毫无魅力，但JLo实在太美了，剧本就像为她量身打造般、这样的故事发生在她身上竟然让人觉得合理有趣。PS.穿着紧身裙和恨天高追爱的JLo实在是窘得可爱。
对时代圈层和媒介的“不剔除”不代表有观点和分析，好莱坞有罪，让明星如此做作地用钱来自我解构。
主创应该是真的相信爱情才会在2020年代拍这么土的电影

基本上就是普通人娶到白富美的爱情片~中途男主还跑去直播走李永乐路线~有点意思~看的时候感觉男主的笑容好僵硬，而且总觉得他鼻子受过重伤…还有女主的婚纱装扮还不如普通衣服好看…说起来今天刚看到一条微博提到在《民间故事形态学》里这类故事叫做“灰姑娘反串版”，然后晚上回来就看到这么一部电影~真是有趣~
但是，影片最大的缺点，就是故事本身，实在是……俗不可耐，就连结尾字幕的小动画也比正片的故事好看，三星半。
蜂群是无数受害者亡魂的集合，糖果人即是黑人血泪史本身。一向渴望跻身上流忽视非裔过往的女主最终在警暴前召唤出了糖果人，成为糖果人继任者的男主对白人警察大开杀戒并在结尾以92版糖果人的面貌写就了对白人的同态复仇檄文。乔丹·皮尔把故事说好了但还是同《我们》一样缺乏力度，拍得比老版还要文艺恐怖两不靠。中间女学生们对着镜子作死时亚裔选择了中途退出，所反映的态度与《逃出绝命镇》中亚裔与白人同为压迫者的形象有所不同，不知是女导演的意思还是皮尔本人对亚裔的某种期待。
