The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 片中在银行中不杀人质很奇怪，对自己人毫不犹豫开枪，在中国类似事件警方并不会受绑匪威胁，而是直接封锁消息冲进去。一开始很期待三人在银行的表现，后面故事很让人失望。
前半段的抗争成色，在类型片范畴里可圈可点，节奏把控也凌厉。但是，从司法部长女儿一番所谓同理心表达、以及黑白混血女的“真情流露”，这种老套的政zhi正确和道德正确植入，让整个片子立即坠入烂尾深渊。
无论他或她喜欢的是什么，也无论是你还是我，我们都只是出于对爱的渴望，我们没有犯错，我们就是这样的我们。

只能说南非的电影工业尚在起步阶段，或者说也就这样了。没什么逻辑，也比较粗糙，混乱中坚持了50分钟，看不下去了。曼德拉作为南非比较有故事性的人物，能以此为素材拍出了这么难看的一部电影，那也真是烂泥扶不上墙了吧。看这里竟然超过7分，这是对南非革命者报以同情的打分吗？
看完就记住了一个台词：“自由的代价是什么，一切” 搭配《漫漫自由路》服用，效果感人。
