The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 虽然明显垂垂老矣，但那种对电影和风格的坚持，还是让人愿意看下去。老头子真的太厉害。

我相信，暮年的东方木之于电影，正如乔丹之于篮球一样，只是单纯地喜欢，不为名，不为利。
剧情平铺直叙少亮点，叙事节奏也比较温吞，故事展现得很温柔，也可以看出作为年老牛仔的东木想展示的表达。牛仔迟暮，但是雄心仍旧。

只要他还有新作，我们就不能倒。仰拍老牛仔爬坡的靴子太过分，要哭了。
90多了这股子精气神真的值得赞赏，但是吧…就…真的吹不动，尤其再横向对比一下老爷车和骡子…甚至注意力经常被颤颤巍巍的老爷子带走，真的担心他站不稳再摔一跤……
不像东木。时间回到80年代初，当时的东木拍了西部的《不屈不挠》与公路的《天涯父子情》，这次又是部黄昏牛仔的公路片。后半段有点崩（中间点关于信仰）。危险源于小孩、他人、自然、自我。
91岁的东木，依然是西部牛仔，致敬！ 电影本身很平淡，温情片，but，这不重要…
东木暮年，让人唏嘘。希望老爷子能好好享受生活。
看这部电影和在「奥德赛」里面去到「月亮背面的更背面」发生在同一个晚上：一次所有元素的闪回和重现，以一种奖励、感谢、以及最终最终你抵达了终点的形式发生。他所看重的，执念的，醒悟的，甚至刻板的「瞬间」都在这里集合。

剧情很普通了 整篇几乎可以用温和来形容 影片里看的时候有好几次都觉得颤颤巍巍 佩服老爷子这么大把年纪了还在自导自演

西木老了，驯马那段明显是替身了，91岁的身子骨哪经得起马那么颠簸。剧情波澜不惊，细细品味回味无穷，生活哪有十全十美，找到自己最爱才是完美。所以最后他留在了墨西哥……谁在哭泣？那个被鸡打败了2次的人？
