The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 跟我期待的差距蛮大的，本来以为是对制度的反思批判，但是呈现出来的要丰富的多。不过这种差距其实也不坏，人生本来就不是那么简单粗暴，自由和孤独就是硬币的两面，不会只有快乐，也不会只有痛苦。钢琴很好听，see you down the road.
一个可呈现社会深层变动的绝好题材被回收到表现孤独个体内心世界这种熟极而流的路子里，游牧民的社群也不过成了风景的一部分。

想看这部现象级电影很久了，刚看完忽而发觉今天是妇女节。美丽的意外。
观影其实是很私密化的体验，如果它能够让我relate，那么对于我来说就是一部好电影。《无依之地》前面1小时20分钟我都是跟在大片留白的剧情后面，偶尔被细节或台词触动，而从Fern离开Dave家的那一刻开始，我开始和她一起上路了。一个人吹着海风，和路上遇到的朋友聊过往，走向未知，孤独但自由。We don’t settle. See you down the road.
年轻时是冇脚雀仔，年迈后入无依之地，所有的意义答案终究只在路上，足迹只可印在未来。

在一片苍茫与寂寥之中剖开了一些实际上很尖锐的社会问题，碎片化的叙事蛮见功力，但总觉得不够深刻又没能达到理想中的那种境界。

拓荒者与游牧民都是无地可依的人群，前者代表着开拓、积极，后者则是流浪、悲观，就像西部片与这部电影的区别，西部片赞扬的是无畏的英雄，《无依之地》悲悯的是无地的普通人，前者反映了伟大国度的崛起，后者则是美利坚日薄西山的见证。
既勇敢又脆弱，既强硬又温柔，既自由又孤独，既眷恋又希冀。

平淡却不平庸，简约却不简单，大象无形，减法的处理刚刚好。摈弃猎奇和冲突，却深切感受到导演走进并了解了这个游牧民群体。围绕着女主对爱人和生活方式的执念，最后跟游牧民领头人的一番掏心交流，给本片的主旨做了一个回甘诠释。
