The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 随着女主慢慢的进入了她的生活，感受了她的情绪，最后理解了她的人生。

既勇敢又脆弱，既强硬又温柔，既自由又孤独，既眷恋又希冀。
自然景观构成的情境生成机制是本片一切秘密的源头，虚焦镜头下的镜头切换不再明确而聚合为浓重却机械的情绪肌体，而当音乐响起，被自然景观共情驱动的精确蒙太奇开始暴露出并不高明的情绪引导倾向。人物状态/局部动作在机位视角下得以迅速丰富视觉，除此外的镜头运作逻辑几乎是完全透明且低下的，手持镜头的运动方向完全出于基本认知，并无真正创造美学价值的影像。文本结构的极简并不是情节空洞的真正原因，其带来的情感力量完全是写作层面不自觉触发的。公路片架构的情节堆叠（非演进）仅为表意的前进，而情感/情境却是一直凝滞不前的，真正让电影前进的无非是将模糊情感渗透至具体段落的机械系统。

画面好美，羡慕这些行走在路上人们对人生看得很通透的想法。如果这部电影得奥斯卡，应该是最有诗意的一部吧……
