The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 平常不咋喜欢漫威的我今天把trailer看了三遍，梁朝伟刘思慕Awkwafina啊啊啊//除了大幅京东植入广告之外我没啥别的想挑剔的了。特喜欢的几点：没有狗血爱情线，女性角色很出彩，梁朝伟这个反派有一定复杂性，父子关系很让人触动（梁朝伟好适合演这种忧伤的反派啊），打斗和搞笑的部分也都不错。梁朝伟和刘思慕都好帅啊嘤嘤嘤Awkwafina和妹妹我也好喜欢QAQ 还有这是疫情之后第一次回影院看电影，和姐妹们一起看电影好开心:)

杨紫琼和梁朝伟真的是为大荧幕而生 一直觉得刘思慕很帅 但电影里还是有些瞬间觉得他不是特别适合电影荧幕 感觉金氏便利店他更有魅力
漫威正常水准，打得还不错，也确实花了心思讨好中国人，可惜效果还是挺尬的，整成了各种刻板印象的大杂烩。但老伟仔还是很帅很帅。
虽然充满了刻板印象和暗贬，但是看得出漫威有在努力规避明雷，起码表面功夫做足了。规规整整的超英片，甚至有被几个山海经怪物的实体化惊艳到。不过说到底还是和女主的那部《不要告诉她》一样，华裔特供。
片尾曲一出来freddy说哦我还以为会是hotel california，然后就真的出现了。OR————
角色长相，连梁朝伟在这部里都没有那么帅了，刘思慕打戏帅，好了没了。严重水土不服的中国超英，虽然我看的超英电影也不多，但是这一部除了公交车上的那场打戏还挺带劲以外其他都无感，故事讲得七零八碎上气不接下气。特效都那么塑料感，这是怎么了。
黑豹2？哥斯拉3！中国元素真的很多，很少能看到有说这么多中国话的好莱坞电影。简直爆《花木兰》十条街。伟仔真的很适合演这种深情的角色，眼神里算是戏。十环这个武器感觉做成游戏会很不错。伟仔帅和陈法拉美，但男女主确实观感上确实不太行，有些路人。尽管奥卡菲娜喜剧效果挺好的，但是当男英雄的女主是有点违和，她自己当主角会更好一些。开头公交车的段落打戏很不错，很多地方有成龙的影子。没想到后面变成怪兽电影，有点始料未及。不过，看完电影感觉尚气稍微弱了点，实际上并没那么弱，起码要比黑豹强。
天呐也太好看了吧 梁朝伟亮了。只是4D影院要把我晃死哈哈哈哈哈哈哈哈
合格的爆米花电影，动作戏编排很精彩。陈法拉太美了，为了她加一星。
国内华人的观感，顶多给三星。倒不是有辱，纯粹因为比较尬，共情力也有些弱。看在创作者诚意的份上，多给点鼓励。作为一部漫威英雄起源电影，勉强也可以打四星吧。
我甚至都没看过剧集，还是挺享受前半段的观影过程。
看的过程还蛮感动的，没想到漫威电影能这样精准地抓住中国父权文化和武侠的精髓，这个呈现我打一百分💯！
还是适合剧集的方式来给大家做呈现，短小精悍的故事更有趣，电影差点没把我看睡着。
看他们讲中文出戏，讲英文也出戏，我大概是陷入了一个怪圈，嫌弃生硬的中文和格格不入的英文。美国对东方的认知，还停留在功夫熊猫那一套。我之前看到传言说不能在内地上映的原因是梁朝伟演了傅满洲我真是信了他个鬼，那么问题来了，究竟是什么原因呢。最后一个彩蛋还是让我眼前一亮的。
合格的爆米花电影，比《花木兰》要好看得多，但故事依然透出漫威的傻里傻气，以及西方世界对神秘东方的无边猜想，包括长生不老和龙的传说，动作戏其实还不错，男主过于普通，还没有奥卡菲娜抢眼，伟仔演技在线，能在娱乐片里演出些层次属实不易。
鲍勃一家日常的荒诞、丧、搞笑，为了做成电影还加了凶杀案，配上皆大欢喜的结尾，感觉比剧集版更柔软了一些。电视剧版的歌一集一个样，搭配剧情听比较精彩，放到电影里这么密集，有点审美疲劳。
