The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 这种剧叫做中年人下饭电影，就是你低下头10分钟玩手机再抬起头来，仍然能接得上情节的玩意儿………
按照网大的标准衡量本片完全是上乘佳作！十分完整的小视角剧情，一条操办巨额成本葬礼的主线，两个主题“愧疚-弥补-和解”和“接纳改过自新的人”贯穿其中，节奏由浅显的笑料逐步走向深入的感情倾泻，两大高潮点（甲乙双方的决裂、葬礼的反转）设置的时间点和发挥的作用刚刚好。结尾虽然略有拖沓不过看下来并非是强行凑时长、堆笑料的狗尾巴，反而处处反复点题。一众演员以东北籍搞笑常客们为主，还引入了快手平台搞笑视频红人客串，更别提还有二手玫瑰助阵，这演员阵容自由发挥完全就足够让人捧腹，老爷子作为演技担当也完全撑起了演技需求。可以说本作品应当成为喜剧类网大的标杆。

但是两段动画做的好好。
很安静的文艺片。让人能安静下来。

整体来说延续了烧烤之王的套路，合格的非院线片……其实并不足够搞笑，也有可能是我的笑点太高了。
