The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 西部片已经不只是一种电影类型和讲故事的方式，更是一种情调和审美——Old Henry这种看似长篇的前戏铺垫（也包含了典型的西部要素：警匪、劫案、荒僻、追杀、拓垦...），其实蛮严格地在平缓里穿插了一个个关键情节的小爆点，如同烹小鲜般的节奏控制——最后的大战一展包袱，1v8火器+冷兵器相当利落，就连转折之转折都是既可意料又略意外...反正我是都预料到了，哈哈哈~就爱看这种“事了拂衣去深藏功与名”但又在某些特定情况时机下“一爆灭所有”的戏剧方式。PS，某个豆友讲到西部片已经变成承载美式尚武精神的载体，很对。

这个西部片好看。 喜欢这个儿子。好勇。不喜欢无辜人员的死扣一星。

开头野外捡钱的一段神似《老无所依》。扮猪吃老虎的爽片，大白天的正面硬怼一挑12，哪怕兰博都得事先埋炸弹靠机关。话又说回来，老亨利这江湖老手了，深知不义之财来得索命，他不应该捡钱才对。一看就知道肯定不是网飞拍的，老亨利怎么可能死呢，如果效果好观众买单，肯定要整个续集的彩蛋才对。

任何时候，一板一眼讲故事的平实电影都不会太差。任何时候，技巧都替代不了刷情。西风热烈马蹄疾，远去的是背影，不逝的是灵魂。
