The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 老爷子依旧是娓娓道来的风格，两人，一鸡，漫漫归家路，这种细腻的情感对于东木来说信手拈来。马戏是老牛仔对西部片的那份情怀，虽然只是星星点点的片段，但当那最具辨识度的配乐响起时，仿佛将我们待会那位沈体硬朗，气度不凡，牛仔还能在马背上驰骋的年代。而那句我不知道如何治愈“老”让人鼻子一酸，东木也是垂暮之年，看到他依旧健硕，希望他还能继续奋战在世界电影第一线。
