The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 二十分钟能讲完的事愣是要拍成俩小时。所幸影片有超强的美术风格和精致的配乐，当俩小时mv看每一帧都是享受。
各方面都似曾相识又都四平八稳的一部小清新科幻片。《天鹅挽歌》把对立面从人类与克隆人当中抽离出来，而把人类自身的情感与回忆这最难断舍离的一部分作为最强大的对立面来对抗克隆人取代自己，从宏观经济方面转换到个人情感方面，这就让这片子显得更加贴近个人，更能感同身受。我们最宝贵的就是自身的情感和回忆。这一点和斯派克·琼斯当年的《她》也异曲同工的地方。
很久没看到让我哭成这样的电影了。真的很痛很痛。生离死别，原来是要拆开看的啊，生离比死别可能还要痛。
