The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 上海美术电影制片厂在上个世纪制作了大量基于传统文化的美术片电影，陪伴了几代人成长。其中巅峰之作有1961年的《大闹天宫》、1979年的《哪吒闹海》、以及这部1983年的《天书奇谭》。
2010年年后再CCTV少儿台上又重温了这部动画，无愧为经典。

其实几个狐狸也不过是想让自己生活的更好些。
片头的字写得好漂亮。类似盗火的普罗米修斯（在当时的条件下还无法将“天书”的奥秘分享给每一个人），可悲的是这片现在看也不过时。

现在的小孩真可怜，只有喜洋洋灰太狼那种水准的动画。
