The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 不知道自由是什么，反正需要付出一切，也许还不一定能得到。
人质中说自己有“黑人情结”的白人女性其实是得了白化病的黑人女性啦
这片子不错，但拍成这样肯定是为了符合南非的现状，黑人没错，但白人也不都坏。如果在照这样黑白泾渭分明下去，南非跌入贫困国家行列也不稀奇。
如果世界上没有偏见和歧视，所有人类都团结起来，这个世界会是怎样的？
影片很长，很真实的男同性恋现状，一边生气一边无奈。“如果有一个喜欢百合的男神，有一个喜欢bl的女神，那是不是就没有对错之分了。”爱没有对错，同性恋也没有。
根据上世纪八十年代发生于南非的真实银行人质劫持案改编。影片整体上还拍得比较流畅，尤其是开头的几个追逐镜头，场景调度非常到位，一气呵成。此案件并非简单的刑事案件，实则是有着强烈的政治背景，劫犯是南非反种族隔离的黑人，提出的条件是释放曼德拉。导演处理起来有些左右为难，既想将这起张力十足的案件拍得好看，又得兼具其政治背景，在剧情中加入许多政治元素，竭力向着有历史感的政治性影片方向引。此片后面显得有些松懈，逻辑上也出现问题，最后喊起了口号。
自由的代价是“生命的一切”。故事很精彩，描绘了南非一群为了理想和正义而战斗、牺牲的战士和英雄，同时也展示了殖民主义、种族主义分子的偏狭残忍。
看了本片再对比真实事件，这位编剧的水平是真厉害。黑人男主演和白人谈判专家演得都好。4星水平。北电的导演和编剧专业学生和老师应该观摩此片。冷门佳片，居然在豆瓣这么低的分。

说教意识太强，故事太松散，道具蛮用心的，摄影服装 蛮专业的。只是不明白为啥分这么高，因为有曼德拉的政治光环？
温情满满的劫持人质事件，最后曼德拉出狱了，这是改庆祝还是……
不过也没有想象的无聊
