The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 小场景极致精巧的细节打磨。尽管有些忽略了人本身行为的不可预知性，但是就像最后一幕二当家起身也不在他的预料之中，但他却依旧凭借自己的能力解决突发状况一样，一部分精心设计+一部分随机应变也是很不错的处理方式。年度top10预选。
3.5吧。最后结尾不喜欢，不要交代老头的身份背景留个空白我觉得会更好。老头演技还可以，比王牌特工后面的续作更像这个IP。
个人还是比较喜欢 绅士们 这种风格的电影。
小空间下就六七个角色，这种就拼剧本和演技了，虽然还有些剧情有点牵强，但整体不错，值得一看，姜还是老的辣。

感觉Francis复活一下完全为了老爷爷秀个花臂？这边其实可以扣一星但老爷爷太帅了吧。不扣了。
作为一部室内靠着对话不断反转的影片，剧情算不上优秀，甚至一些情节交代的都不是那么清晰，影片节奏也不算快，但是人物的设定很明确，节奏也很舒服，整体是有质感的。马克·里朗斯饰演的英国"绅士"也在不断反转的事件中也揭露了自己埋葬在心底的秘密和身世。这个金盆洗手的江湖人却总是摆脱不了江湖事，像极了古龙的武侠人物和故事。可惜影片故事中的计划更多的是随机应变的巧合，好在精湛的演技和适当的节奏，让紧张悬疑感淡化了故事里的"巧合"。三星半
数次差点将自己玩死，结尾诈尸更是画蛇添足。
7.0/10我为孙锡久疯狂打call ，太有魅力了。有一说一，故事毫无新意，没有任何亮点，这种故事估计都烂大街了，而且一直在期待马和孙的大对决，但也是打得不过瘾，孙这个角色相比起来太弱了，被马完全压制，这就少了太多乐趣的，而且罪犯降智太厉害，就感觉挺小品的。
说不上来 但我就觉得哪里有点问题 有种强行反转变boss的感觉 他设计的这个局漏洞也太多了
如果给国内翻拍，不是严格按照时间点百分百照抄的话，是绝对拍不好的。用片中主角的话说，这就是技术。裁剪是这样，电影更是这样。
相反冲突中的情绪张力十足，
除了最后本以为死透了人突然复活有点牵强…其他都很好 完全可以当做一部满分的舞台剧来看 当然这种类型的电影里肯定会是几个英国演员来撑起场面

老大叔太厉害了吧，各种心理战术，许多反转给人惊喜节奏紧凑，电影色彩也很复古，很不错的一部电影。
每分钟都有一句西八，马东锡没什么好黑的，但是逻辑上是真的离谱，一群警察去抓杀人犯个个都没枪，搞笑呢？警察们如果追求个人英雄主义的话那就早死完了
编剧做导演就是结构上可以做很精巧，先来个强设定震住人（编：终于没人乱改我剧本了！）。调度和动线上比较一般，巧合强行推进剧情也挺多，但扫地僧老爷子往那里一站，眼神就交足了货，属于演员自己的气场能把剧作的坑填上。这种舞台剧+强反转真的太吃演员。
硬反转太多，单一空间设置没有充分利用空间，逻辑硬伤颇多。
耳光侠成名作再续之越南出任务。马东锡还是演这种纯粹的犯罪动作喜剧更合适，自己演着对路，观众看的过瘾。虽然反派比起第一集的哈尔滨张谦弱了点，但不难看出来整部戏动作效果的升级，连长镜头都用进去了。
谈笑风生，杀人无形。有一点没照顾到，箱子里一直滴血怎么没了下文？
