A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.

电影的摄影啥的没得挑，但WSS的故事从来都不是我喜欢的那一款，不过音乐和舞蹈还是比较戳我的。
当代歌舞片除了将热门议题加入进来就没有任何创新了吗，有时候甚至觉得歌舞段落只会拖时间，对叙事没起到任何帮助，奇观都算不上了
Spielberg and his endless budget only make the film visually appealing, but the old chemistry is missing. One of the drawbacks is the altered storyline does not make sense; the second half entirely lacks focus. Not even mentioning the overloaded autotune. It’s good that they cast real Hispanic actors. Rita Monroe is still killing it!! (She is absolutely terrific, but her role in the remake is a stretch. )
种族歌舞两群问题青年，男女主结局对比爱情过程太过草率也不符合情理了吧，没看过原版的我？？tonight还是挺好听的
C / 怪异的观感，夹杂在怀念式的做旧，音乐剧式的演绎，cinema化的作者表达中顾此失彼，陈旧剧情的直接搬演显的不合时宜且情感断裂，而精彩的调度和光影又在节奏的孔隙插入了某些迷人时刻。
就电影本身啥都好，但是剧本真不行！舞台剧里不讲理强行撒狗血可行，毕竟大家一起看个热闹；但直接照搬放到可以冷眼旁观的银幕，我真的被雷死了，真爱至上的女主显得过于脑残（每个人都）。那是1950s的价值观啊，直接搬上2022年，我表示不想吃这口几十年馊饭。唯一touch我的地方是，黑女在差点被乱暴的时候白女们纷纷搭手相救，要让她走的那幕，隔着屏幕感受到了黑女和白女们作为女性的绝望。在有人被施暴的现场，女性可以不计较肤色人种help each other out这一幕，是全片之光。
三星都打给歌舞呈现和布景服装。2021年了，能不能不要再讲罗密欧朱丽叶式的一见钟情私定终身的愚蠢爱情故事了，加上拉垮的表演，完全没有办法共情男女主，只觉得十分脑残

哥哥嫂子Riff演的都特别好……敌对阵营的女性还是会挺身而出阻止强暴……嗯除此之外好像也没啥优点了。说实在的看这种故事我现在就是一脸冷漠，这些人全都是自找的，女人们工作劳动，男人们打架斗殴，约群架还带刀带枪，死人不是很正常的事吗，搞得特别沉重特别惊讶似的……

我该说斯皮尔伯格太过自负了吗，这个翻拍就真的是翻拍，一点不带改的，还是一样的年代，背景，服装，人物，所以他有什么把握觉得自己能和1961版本比呢？西区故事的剧情本来就无聊简单三观不正没任何能夸的，它的成功就在歌舞，老版的编舞，尤其是群舞，已经达到了天花板级别，是无可跨越的高峰。新版舞美灯光再优秀，其重要性也无法和这舞蹈相比，所以斯皮尔伯格是咋想的啊？想想一个明星的诞生，四个版本都随着拍摄年代而相应改编，这个思路不好吗？不考虑一下黑人帮派嘻哈帝国吗？只能说每个大佬都有一个黄金年代的梦想，没有办法。另外本片有个最大的败笔俩主角。长得稀里哗啦不提，唱的一般舞就更差，两人对手戏还没点电火花只叫人犯困，这点真是太失败了。
看完很难不鼓掌。老吐槽斯皮尔胳膊无聊、垃圾时间，但业务能力也是真的强，尤其这一部的质感方面做得相当好，几个镜头过去你就能体会到深厚的功力，好多略生硬的剧情也愣是通过各种手段遮过去了，仿佛在给同届《倒数时刻》上课。唯二美中不足的一是名唱段Somewhere略嫌草率，二是不明白为啥西班牙语部分没字幕…
puddle shot/ gym dance/ rumble kill 换三种镜头 零角度剪辑 表现主义美学等等做作的处理方法和“声音”层面的不耐受以及 Tony 的全程尬演烂唱都是煎熬 只有 Anita 在 Valentina 店里遭遇暴行那场戏有意义 有力量 值得跨越时代 抛弃白人傲慢来继续反复讲述 再有就是呈现拉美裔大家庭好呢 还是更原教旨的由波多黎各人来饰演 来编写 来拍摄波多黎各人街区的故事更恰当呢 _(:з)∠)_ p.s. 希望那些恬不知耻玩笑也好真情也罢的呼吁“别再歧视好莱坞男白人”的东西可以闭嘴 否则只能展示自己懦弱可怜的姿态

这是个什么鬼？恋爱脑男女主和他们的冤种哥哥和哥们儿？女主把认识两天的爱情看得比亲情都重要？新添的文戏有啥用？每一个配角都比主角好。斯皮尔伯格其实导得还可以，镜头什么的四平八稳，但大可不比整一部苦情虐恋街头版罗密欧与朱丽叶，并且还有不配字幕的西语。顺便一提，服装挺出彩。
AMC DOLBY 复古滤镜拉满，调度、摄影、剪辑技术都非常纯属，歌好听、舞好看，满屏漂亮的男性肉体。前半段精彩场面多得数不清：开场一组镜头，学校舞会，警局胡闹，海边夺枪——有这技术拍点什么不好？为什么要拍这么个老套故事？前半段我都忍了，后半段垮得一塌糊涂，就感觉导演已经不耐烦了，敷衍着赶紧把故事讲完就完了。选角也很失败，主要配角比男女主耀眼太多，特别是女主的嫂子，长得美唱得好跳得棒，把女主压得完全没存在感。中间有一段嫂子带着周围西裔女邻居们唱跳反对哥哥（以及她们各自伴侣）的段落不知道是不是新加的，很现代很喜欢。
