The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 从“肇事”自杀女司机母亲的道歉开始，这片急转直下，太割裂了吧，前半部讲社会问题，后面讲和解与亲情。导演把前面的东西都丢掉了，可观众还在里边呢！
故事有点显而易见，想表达的太多反而显得杂。有意思的是超市阿姨这个角色。

这个故事就是抄的《星际宝贝》，过分了。还有《小魔怪》。
主角是熊二，伴随着熊二的成长，周围人从嫌弃到追捧，也是熊出没周转不变的内容。
主角团存在感太低，重心放在熊二与阿布二人组的互动上，有些不是滋味。但特效制作和技术水准着实惊艳。
