During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 这个系列越来越差了，逻辑稀碎，神奇动物也没有几只（麒麟挺可爱）。已经进入20世纪了，魔法世界选举，还玩大楚兴陈胜王这套。我以为毁掉血盟像毁掉魔戒那么困难，结果说碎就碎了。诶，也就离婚现场能看看。

题材切入大胆，前面有欢乐，后面有转折，欢乐与歌舞是常态，结尾的“母爱”值得深思。

这电影还真是个谜，演了一个半小时都不知道两边到底想干嘛。粉丝也太惨了，就几分钟那么点糖得熬这么久，磕得还没头没尾的。
最后幸亏结局可以，要不就等着负分，评论区找骂吧！
喜剧部分笑点十足，可惜看不到女主角真正的成长，白人夫妻太虚伪最后洗白太刻意
