The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 童年家暴，职场倾轧，生育恐慌，压力太多最终造成了人格分裂。剧情套路一般，全靠演员演技支撑。
亲情控制和生育惩罚对女性主义者来说实在不算是个新东西，但是能搬上大银幕这么细致的讨论还挺少见的，韩国编剧的实力是真的硬，没有过度喧哗，也没有传统韩国电影的那种沉重结尾，主角最后的眼泪给一切留出了可能性，解脱了自己，或许未来是坎坷的，但此刻看到的是光明。
纯纯的悬疑商业片，当时是冲着“想看商业片，想看演员们彪演技”就决定看了，总体还算可以吧
