The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 动画包装了一缅怀的故事 ，絮叨自念下做了个60年代的无趣梦。梦中踏上的月壤又为如今铺向了何处，不愿提及，或许也不必提及。
黑白的电视机突然仿佛涂上彩色的画笔，一盘盘精致的食物勾起了满满的食欲。那些可爱的画面里都是曾经的自己。
对于当代史的构建，音乐、电影、剧集、综艺等所有的流行文化堆砌成普通中产家庭孩子的童年，“亲身”参与了历史的大事件，并自觉地把自己当作是其中一份子，所谓的想象也在那一刻变成了真实，这是一种非常深刻的认同。我小时候看《泰坦尼克号》，没看完结局就睡着了，海水冲进船舱的画面成了不灭的记忆。主观不喜欢这部作品的原因在于，破碎到像是在做文献综述，呕吐“暂停了”50分钟属实没有必要。
题材就值五星了（PS: 用了相当篇幅描绘乌克兰对乌东俄罗斯族的迫害，差点以为乌克兰要入侵俄罗斯了）
