很片面，又很写实。围绕着夫妻，姐妹，母女，父女，家庭多维度的情感脉络。减弱了所有的戏剧冲突，用尽可能生活化的情绪状态来表现故事。

可能那时候真的没什么钱，但吃一包夹着辣条的干脆面就能开心一整天，爸妈也没有为了房子哀怨连连。
画面表现力毋庸置疑 不过作为前传有些魔改得过头了
有个什么风吹草动就切到女主角脸特写的拍法...至少不适合这部片中的这个女主角吧。不这样搞，演技还显得更好些
就……很有那种面对时代浪潮的无力感。猎魔人终将走向灭绝，而制造出小狐那样的变种怪物、最终招致灾祸也确实是咎由自取。“她没有选择变成这样。”

壓抑程度比「瀑布」要再高出很多，一直在描寫家庭吵架，場景又刻意調得很昏暗，很真實、但直到最後都沒有破解，女孩到底要不要回美國？如何解決自己的內心矛盾？本作最多只是揭露了一些實現American Dream的華人現象而已。
