米克森与艾弗森花费了近3个月的时间到达皮里地，拿到了能够证明格陵兰岛是一个整体的地图和资料。但受制于北极圈内恶劣的天气和事故，两人照预计时间晚了很多才回到船只。但此时，因船只被冰山撞坏，等待他们的船员不得不搭乘其他前来营救的船只返回丹麦。所幸的是，在他们离开之前，在岸边建了一所木屋，为他们留下了一年的食物。
牛逼的人造就了牛逼的电影吧。在极地生活两年多，差点要杀死对方了。
