In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 中间那段崩溃大哭太让人难受了，朱迪演的太好了
新冠下的护理机构，疫情初期的风口浪尖。为了感情线的发展，结尾稍微有点戏剧化了。
那种说了99句我很关心你，你很重要，最后一句对不起我们做不到那种伪善的人（部门），令人无奈和气愤。什么时候我们能做到人人平等。
大量采用了手持近景机位的纪录片形式，表达人物情绪上非常有效果，在后疫情时代看的第一部有关新冠肺炎疫情的片子，很有力量。

镜头语言很简单朴实，仿佛纪录片，但那种压抑窒息和无力感却贯穿全程，当然也得益于啾迪超棒的演技，向所有无私奉献的护工致敬！

他们英国都拍电影来说病毒的危害了，但为啥还不以为然。。
口音英语听着挺亲切就是有点费劲。
情节和篇幅略显简陋，对白口音那真的重啊~

不装逼的说对疫情的控制，医护人员的付出，各方资源的调控，我国就是世界第一，可拍出来的电影确实不如人家。但反过来说，西方拍出了优秀的电影，和我国拍的大格局主旋律不同，这电影从一个以小见大的角度细腻的描述了疫情中，人与自身，人与体制间的矛盾，但现实中防疫却拉垮的一匹。那我就要瞎扯了，如果两者选一，我肯定选中国，奖你们拿去，命我们保住。
真的以小见大了 26min的一镜到底太强了 情绪一直被带动
看过的第一部讲述新冠疫情的电影，没有什么高大上的人物形象，只有平凡人的恐惧无助和茫然，最后女主的质问才是全片最精彩之处。
真实事件改编，拍得很真实，聚焦渺小的个体，跟电影中国医生形成了鲜明的对比。影片从一家护理院艰难面对疫情延伸到国家对护理院病残人士采取的援助态度。结尾Sarah的话语直接将影片推向了高潮：……从什么时候起我们的生命变得不再平等了！摄影和调度不错，用了大量的大特写和运镜，朱迪科默和格拉汉姆演技很赞！对了，良心发问，从什么时候起我们的生命变得不再平等了？
最后字幕用一种可怜兮兮的语气说护工的时薪是8.5磅……唉…………
这是我看的第一部新冠相关题材的影剧，片中许多的片段，都让人回想起两年前新冠爆发时，亲历过的恐惧和无奈的心境。西方百姓对疾病防控的认知和我们并没有大不同，只是他们更关注「个人」而不是「国家」罢了。
