The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 人类补完其实是庵野秀明的自我补完吧。。
所有的人都成长了，都得到了救赎，人类也迎来了新纪元，一切都欣欣向荣。希望大家都能好起来。

不再只是tv时对一个男孩的心灵补完，重写了旧剧场版时男孩和女孩的结局，即使有了更多预算还是回到最初的构想，从封闭的内心迈向了更广阔的世界，重新相信爱与希望，不负二十多年的等待，这不仅是给观众一条成长的道路，更他妈是庵野秀明本人的成长与补完啊。
虽然最后有点肉麻，但看下来还是意犹未尽。四幕戏中最喜欢第二幕，丽的自我觉醒和帮助真嗣走出自闭。四部剧场版最精彩当然还是《破》，最后一部能把中二风满满的第三部圆回来，也很完整了。
庵野导演的作品中个人最喜欢的还是《蓝宝石之谜》，那是一部十分珍视“人与人的邂逅”的作品。《EVA终》仿佛让人再次体会到了那种感情，对于这一点还是感到很欣慰的。
