The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 虽然可以预料到老板一定会对工厂门口频频失衡的天平采取措施，但是最后用一颗子弹垫在下面着实是想不到，是整个戏的点睛之笔和对所有事情的总结——为了维持平衡与运转，必要时就要有牺牲。
和突如其来的煽情戏
极尽讽刺之能事。一位“竭心尽力”将公司打造成大家庭的老板，打着关心的幌子做着操纵他人的行为，一切努力都是出于自身利益。天秤雕塑的隐喻很妙，资本主义下哪有真正的公平，维持平衡的其实是藏在天秤下的那一颗子弹。
想起刘強东，囗囗声声我兄弟，裁起员来赶紧滚。本片揭示了资本家的虚伪，噢，不!那叫客气。
