这部其实通俗了很多，但就是那么恰如其分的拍到人心里去了。
堪比逍遥骑士的公路片，女性视角下粗粝的美国西部裹挟在细腻的情感传达和麦克多蒙德的出色演绎。影片建立在对Nomad+Land两个词的组合的诠释上，观影体验倒有点像海边的曼彻斯特。越来越难静下心来看电影了。"Don't get lonely."
我原本以为这个世纪将比科幻小说里先进得多，但二十年过去可预见的只有经济衰退或人口危机。她品尝着产业衰亡的苦果，在亚马逊流水线打包快递，在原始森林触摸古树，她的存在就是在幸福流逝的时空中存在。而我们的存在，正是确认幸福流逝的过程。
9分，广袤的世界，渺小的个体，怆然之情油然而生。无论是偌大的房子，还是不起眼的房车，只要天地间有一处心之所归的地方，那就是家。每一个上路的个体都是自立的，他们见过太多经历太多，用一种随心的方式继续生活着，而每一个上路的个体也是孤独的，他们背负着自己的伤痛，勇敢而怀揣希望地走在路上。
总以为叫无主之地，无爱，无依，无生。信仰能帮你。
喜欢的不是故事本身，而是细腻无声的情绪。
以极度小资的方式呈现无产阶级，和《骑士》一样，所谓“自然主义”的外壳下，包裹的依旧是一个程式化的故事，但这部要矛盾得多。如果真是想要替真正的游牧者发声，那就应该以他们为主角，而不是让他们成为背景，让来体验生活的奥斯卡影后逮着一个就来一段鲁豫有约（唯一与主角发展出浪漫关系的“男主角”也是职业演员）；如果着重的是人物研究，那为何不多把视线从“站点”中挪开片刻，多拍一点“上路”的过程？
如果现在还在洛杉矶，应该会坐在二手丰田上看这部关于车里生活人的电影吧。Nomad, 老年女性，especially in the time of Covid ... 赵婷熟悉的边缘感真是戳到了美国的痛处，但 Fern 的坚韧 & "see you down the road" 的心态或是 …… 暂缓的解药，对普通人而言吧，就整个社会而言症结就更复杂了。
最后再讲点民粹的事情：一开始赵婷拿大奖，国内一通吹我是非常不屑一顾的：我猜她拍的就是美国电影，拿奖正常，跟你有什么关系。看完之后觉得自己狭隘了，人类情感的共通之处是远比国别之间的差别大得多的，那些孤独、记忆、不后悔、安静是全人类共享的。希望2021年我自己更多元一点，不要太狭隘吧。
真心不喜歡這套，縱然它拿下了金獅及眾多獎項。總覺得電影有着一股很強烈的說教味道，而且表達得刻意做作，探討社會問題亦顯得不痛不癢，捉不着重點，描繪主角內心的孤獨舆漂泊無根的視角也顯得很平面，沒有深度和層次感，最致命還是那些旅遊風光式的攝影與配樂，太過泛濫之余，更加無助表達角色的內心世界，只淪為矇騙觀眾此片為高逼格文藝片並自我感覺良好的工具--自然主義，公路，空鏡。
真的就很马力克，尤其是科恩嫂的单人镜头的时候，所以还挺享受的。但是在这样的题材下又要刻意收敛政治表述又显得很失策，但是考虑到赵婷的移民身份，她也是更多的想审视而不是参与其中的，所以造就了镜头和人物中间的这种疏离感，反倒让电影有些不同。羡慕她作为一个中国出生的富二代可以起点很高的拍自己喜欢风格的电影。
二刷之后，还是一样，后半段没办法看完，8倍速结束了。让人犯困的旅程，现在是真的，平铺直叙的流水账可以叫隐忍克制的处理，配上钢琴和各种孤独的背影，深邃的眼神，好文艺好高级，不拿奖岂不是显得评委没水平？皇帝的新衣就这样来的。穿着新衣，我们路上见。🙄
拍成纪录片才是真正有诚意，和国内一片赞美不同，影评人Richard Brody在纽约客文章里写到该片赞美了劳工阶级，却没让劳工劳工阶级真正展示自己，imdb的评分7.6也足以说明问题
双重的mobility，作为赤裸的生存状态和作为粗粝的镜头美学，在这里后者没有剥削前者。
甚至有点向往这种生活 孤独也自由 每天可以在空旷的一望无边的地方看各种颜色的天空和日落 see you down the road.

年老的人被迫上路，不是无家可归，是无房可归，押韵的历史，我们应该也挺容易感同身受。看到最后发现其实也不是无房可归，而是因为怀念故人。
颇有肯·洛奇风格，但并非影片内核，在前一大半部分都有些“不知所云”，如果想要把它套进任何一种明显的类型或议题。但一切又循环开始，逗留是为了证明逝去的曾经存在，但悖论的是无所依靠仿佛是存在的前提条件，如此纤弱又如此强韧。或许美中不足的是叙事风格过于飘逸，punctum并不太明显，但是情绪内核隐藏得很深。
上次遇到边看边哭得止不住的片子还是《再生号》，这个年龄看这个片儿真是太代入了，这种穿透胸口的孤独感那么空洞、那么宽大又那么细致入微，就好像影片中提到的星尘一样。似乎无限可能的当代社会，在生存的边缘处却把可能性压缩成了一条线。绝对不是出于贫困、疾病或者任何理由，Fern就是选择了这样一个生活方式，这是一种非常具体的生活方式的！虽然也有人出于各种境况不得不变成homeless，Fern虽然也有困境，但这种方式是她权衡了所有最后选择的【生活】，如果有一个非常具体的原因，就把这个片儿拍小了，所以现在特别精妙。看到燕子的时候简直哭死。
当然，很容易指摘说赵婷的改编过于浪漫化，但电影本身并不必然承担社会学责任。就其审美层面而言，这一百分钟的大写意，既一言不发，又滔滔不绝，那些痛苦的难堪的窘迫的屈辱的，被省略也被超越。东坡和佛印，肚里有什么，眼里又有什么？
