The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 郑宇身上有种难以言喻的气质，确实和本片也挺契合，或许是前面铺垫的太长，渐而变成了黑帮人文片，而且人文的也不太行，。
本片讲述一个12岁的完美主义女孩发现了一个奇怪的蛋，她把蛋藏起来不让苛刻的母亲看到。而当蛋孵化时，一个像鸟一样的生物出现了。
这类所谓“辩证法”的片子实在是太僵化，儿童视角审视原生家庭的题材太多了，显然这部也没玩出什么花。但小女孩演技超强。

黑帮片史上最大的冤种男主，本来能在发小和老大之间选一个的，结果因为自己的心软和犹豫，都死了，还死了新儿子和老情人，自己也崩溃走向大海，就无语。这种人混哪门子黑社会啊，老实在釜山打渔不好吗？？

其他人先不提，那个弟弟抓了打一顿总是错不了的，好久没看到这么讨人厌的小孩了。
并没有很热血，一般，男主这个演员天生有一种老实人做黑道的感觉，就委委屈屈的，又可以很狠，反正一切都是被逼的，要么踩在脚下，要么登顶。
蠻有新意的恐怖電影，過程中也有驚嚇點，可惜沒在大螢幕上看🥲

就这？男主也太没主见跟想法儿了吧，还混什么黑涩会~
想用家庭关系的瓦解来塑造恐怖意向，但是表现手法和人物塑造单薄的让人摸不着头脑
慢慢爬到大哥的感受确实是不一样的，而且确实是有这种潜质才行，还是不要太手软，导致最后悲剧的发生
剧情稀碎，节奏凌乱，充其量就是韩国黑帮片流水线的残次品
残忍又黑暗的韩国黑帮电影。几个演员的演技真的没得说。
Jared Leto气质其实挺适合这个角色的，至少没选错人。他本身的优势就是脸部精致，但是片中具有了超能力后，每次愤怒脸就会变成猿人一样，严重 破坏了观感。马特·史密斯（Matt Smith）的反派脸部改变就更丑了，真的不忍目睹。特效看起来有点粗糙。
可能看下来略显平淡 但是很多争斗是真的看不到硝烟跟血腥 正如男主女票说的 他的大半生一直都太“单纯”了
小女孩的演技是真的好，本片教育意义大于恐怖片本身，建议那些虎妈狼爸观看。
前面看着还行，后面我就不知道到底想表达啥了。
