The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 好看。过于娴熟以至于有些油 结尾太潦草 移情移不过去吧 不是说ai有生命了吗 但也确实不好做 不然发展下去很可能就是赛博3p了
似是疑非地肯定了虛構的價值，最後還是過橋抽板地回歸所謂現實。如果沒有種粉碎人工智能的心，那就不要嘗試去給他們一顆心。
如果倒数第二幕改成男女主角在街上深情相拥后被车撞飞并意识到自己在另一层虚拟世界中就可以算神作了！
现实创造虚拟，虚拟影响现实，看完片忘了摘3D眼镜就直直往影院外头走，真是最贴切的延续和复现。楚门秀、攻壳、2001，致敬一串主题相关经典。全世界的NPC联合起来抵抗昏庸贪婪独裁者，只是真正的玩家们——由着真实的人性在游戏里做尽坏事的players和现实里即便意识到了恶仍听话执行命令的手下们——除了旁观、感叹、做一些让自己感觉良好的表情外，什么影响也没有。细节粗糙，文戏全落俗套。唯一被颤动的时刻：咖啡店员说出“卡布奇诺”那如梦方醒的一瞬。5/10
《西部世界》+《楚门的世界》，NPC拯救世界。程序员的情书，是为你coding，为你debug，太浪漫了吧，我喜欢程序员。
有人说这就是《楚门的世界》➕《头号玩家》，但我觉得主角Guy就是一个不折不扣的AI版的“摩西”，带领众人“数字罢工”。剧情紧凑，节奏恰到好处。快结束的那一段真的太好玩了，把美国队长、绿巨人、星球大战玩了个遍。
这是近年来我看过的商业电影中剧本最为完美的。此前很多相似题材的故事结局不免落有遗憾，楚门的世界，异次元骇客，黑客帝国。不单单是开放结局和达成bad ending的问题。这些同题材的尝试，更多像是在抛出问题而不是给出回答。相较之下，对于人工智能和虚拟世界的问题，这部失控玩家我认为是做了可贵的正面回答的尝试，算是真正站在了巨人的肩膀上。除了在立意上标新，影片整体呈现也多有可圈可点之处，搞笑玩梗不落俗套，特效镜头设计精美制作优良，两条故事主线彼此穿插节奏得当，每一个人物都塑造了较为完整的性格，尤其配角很是出彩，咖啡店员，警官，主角的好朋友，一直举手的老哥，它们在荧幕上的存在能令观众感同身受，像剧中的游戏玩家一样，代入地体会这些AI角色的鲜活生命。个人认为这部失控玩家甚至比头号玩家更优秀。
即使是在格局无比缩略的叙事空间下，仍勉强维持糟糕的叙事。先不说国内翻译版本的诡异，除了NPC为主体意识的尝试比较新鲜，但觉醒却沦为好莱坞烂俗剧本爱情戏的辅助，低开高走的分段，商业化的后者却明显强于空洞的前者，想到本该苦心营造的娱乐性竟这么随便被解构成空洞的IP展示，不禁为此可悲。
片中暗戳戳地致敬比比皆是，游戏爱好者肯定能从片中扒出很多彩蛋，例如「GTA」「传送门」「马里奥奥德赛」「洛克人」……看得我直呼内行。
这已经把饭喂到嘴里：人工智能只是个牛逼哄哄的幌子，我真正感兴趣的，是如何定义【人】。
不是吧这也太好看了，少点说教就更好了，上一次给院线片打五星还是在去年，推荐给游戏爱好者，码农，情侣，特别推荐给码农情侣。
冲着NPC爆笑版《黑客帝国》以及小贱贱主演的期待去看还是蛮低于预期的，尤其前些年有那么多近似的佳作在前，《头号玩家》《乐高大电影》《无敌破坏王》…是的，一部都比不上，观感跟导演的《博物馆奇妙夜》类似，创意很期待，成片不咋地。应该让演反派的那位来导这部片啊

虽然设定不算新鲜了（楚门真是滋养了一大批影视剧项目），但好久好久没在电影院看到开心轻松且感动的爆米花片了。kiss出代码、致敬梗乱入（福斯有迪士尼靠山了真香），还有最后头号玩家那一下子把我看到飙泪，码农的浪漫真的太可爱了。我小时候经常胡思乱想，会不会很多人都是一个宇宙级程序里的NPC？玩动森时也会对小动物们真情实感。我们现在每天的生活，又何尝不是NPC呢。有成熟AI技术的NPC早晚都会实现吧，期待那一天。
