The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 低配版《拾穗者》，1. unfortunately dwelling on kinship rather than after kinship；2. 太靠音乐藏拙。Frances很擅长weird and stubborn的角色。看不出来女主角到底迷茫还是不迷茫，要还是不要什么。
公路片大多是讲旅途见闻和治愈的，这部电影却以孤独为题，离群索居是因为伤痛，浓的化不开。

除去剪辑配乐和细节处理上缺乏想象力等问题外 还有大部分女导演都会有的一个通病：sentimentally melodramatic
有趣的是，片中讲到那些创造了美国的伟大精神，先进沦为边缘，无依无靠，而这样一个故事的叙述者，来自外来移民。
