A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.
最近看印度片，因为此片的关系。其实，我已经很克制，不太发朋友圈或者跟朋友提现实里那些不公的事情，因为会被他们归结了“负能量”。为什么你不能阳光一些，谈论和分享美好的事情。也许，不想被疏离，不想被他们说：“为什么你总是说一些负面的事情，看难过的电影听悲伤的歌！”于是我学会不再分享，不是我冷血，我依旧关心这些。在莫管他人瓦上霜的环境里，心中保持一团火吧！这确实不是一部令人舒适的电影，我停了好几次，但不得不感叹印度片的商业纯熟，压抑中给你一道光，让你能继续看下去。

很长一段时间里，尤其是因为种姓制度，印度一直是压迫最为严重的国家之一。在看《杰伊·比姆》的大多数时间里，我和妻子都捏着拳头揪着心含着泪……
因为在现实里，我看到太多有一点点小权，就作恶的人类。
便归来，平生万事，那堪回首。只绝塞，行路悠悠，苦寒难受。冰霜摧折，早衰蒲柳。置此札，君怀袖。词赋从今须少作，留取心魂相守。薄命长辞君子别，问人生，到此凄凉否。我亦飘零久，深恩负尽，死生师友。千万恨，为君剖。言不尽，观顿首。
有思考、没惊喜 也不太需要 很像《大明劫》前后那两年的国产片
这选材也太好了。虽然情节还是寻常拍法，更细致处根本无从顾及，显得异常浅平，但它阐释的是千帆阅尽后和启程前的两种选择和视野，这实在是拍不尽的母题。（也很好哭）其实要多拍点鱼就更好，不然显得导演利用鱼的功利心也太重了。
男主好不容易成为两班，才发现这个体系是以吃人为生的，内心受到的冲击可想而知，而真理可能是：什么理论都不应该成为束缚发展的桎梏，若不对就应该将其打破。
现实意义固然重大，但作为一部电影、一个故事，刻板是它的致命缺陷。主角基本就不是个活人，而是一个兼具侦探和律师双重身份、金光闪闪的神祇。叙事节奏也过分拖沓，充满了无关紧要的细枝末节。但我同时仿佛也能够听见印度电影人在说：是的，这片土地上充满了苦难、屈辱、不公和腐败，但所幸我们还有独立的司法和批评的权利。浑浊的黑暗中仍有光芒存在，愤怒终有回响。那至少在这一点上，我羡慕他们。
我来说句大实话吧，这部电影的气质跟黑白色调一点都不搭
于多数人而言，功名利禄和人的善性，总得抛掉一个，有人不接受现实，到最后幡然醒悟之时，不论头破血流还是全身而退，都已是沧海桑田
整体黑白的古韵风，被流放的朝鲜大夫的荒岛纪实，也有当时被官府压迫百姓的困苦以及官场压榨百姓的丑恶，观感上有点寡淡。
很柔和的一部片，各个角度的。让还未入世之人就生出世之心，是很难的，总是要都经历一遭，方可休矣。
这部影片实在是很一般。探讨的内容早已不新鲜，也很流于表面，但不得不说商业化很成功。部分说教台词写得也很精辟，给人一种文化底蕴丰厚的假相，和韩国整个文化产业的基调相同。热评一说得很好，本该是我们拍出的东西。但我们的导演编剧都在干嘛，这也许是一种浪费文化的惩罚？
是一部和安静的电影，大部分时间还挺轻松的，只是徒弟当官的部分，现实有凸显了它的苍白。最后当然有另一种安静，一种愿做平凡之人的一种生活态度。这种师徒关系，是养人的。
一次灵魂洗澡，洗得非常透彻，瞬间觉得自己面目可憎。
一流的剧本和表演。师徒互为对照。年轻的徒弟入仕为官后才懂人微力薄，老师教不会他的，经历把他教会了。无力改善民生，但学过的诗文印在心里，也斩断了同流合污的可能。实现不了经世致用的理想，却能在孤独清净的生活里守心守道。知识在儒学里、在科学里，也在兹山上大大小小的鱼类中。
不是華影，勝似華影。上一次有這種感受，還是韓影——《醉畫仙》
星星之火，可以燎原。感谢这些伟大的人把这个世界变得更好。
师徒因为中西文化信仰的矛盾而分开，最后的结果恰恰是很好的证明，真理应该是怎样吧。
