与一般情爱电影不同的是，本片聚焦做爱前的部分，它甚至都不仅是前戏，而是两个要达成“精神性交”一致的人，他们在身体和精神上的磨合过程，剧作在这点上下了大功夫。艾玛汤普森的角色目的只想做爱，而男主角只想“卖感情”（在我看来这份工作十分有趣），身体上当然也有，但我认为他的终极目的是以此达成精神上的性愉悦。两人磨合的过程，也是彼此敞开心扉、互相了解的过程，打开心结才能身心结合，或许，这才是人和人之间相处最难达成的一致吧，如今的我们仿佛只活在对方的平行时空。

原以为还是老生常谈的话题，没想到戏剧张力十足，立意比同题材高很多，Emma Tompson给我太多惊叹，小鲜肉固然可口，学会自己满足自己才是王道。
