The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 3.5/母亲节前后放映很应景；生命就是一种母婴遗传病，治好了就是《turning red》，治不好就是这部片子或者《黑天鹅》（不是……影片中的符号都比较好理解，男性也一如既往地充当着或怯懦或随和的背景板；可能对于已经变得cynical的观众来说，这类主题和表现方式已经很难造成什么感官之外的触动了……
非常优秀！母亲，女儿和鸟怪三元对立，互相“孵化”，互相“戕害”，直到最后“鸟人”的站立和狞视真是令人拍手称快，比“咩咩咩”好看太多了，谁不喜欢“阴暗面”呢？！
畸形的家庭/母女关系下，偶发的饲养怪物成为一种善/恶培养皿，而结果其实是不证自明的，也是符合「父母皆祸害」的观点。
好好一部亲情片，非要拍成恐怖片，整个剧组都变态……
