Simon's adventure starts in the magnificent 'red centre' of the continent and onwards through South Australia, via the extraordinary Indian Pacific Railway until he reaches the west coast city of Perth.
On the way, he joins an Aussie rancher in the parched outback and takes part in a spectacular camel round-up. This mad aventure, involving specially adapted off-road vehicles and a chopper, is part of an ongoing effort to stop the damaging spread of up to a million feral camels across the country.
Simon also passes through Australia's wine country and to the lucrative tuna fishing city of Port Lincoln, and he investigates the impact these trades are having on the environment. In Western Australia, he joins a 21st century gold rush - part of the resource boom that has made Australia one of the richest countries in the world.
Finally in Perth, Simon discovers a full scale British invasion. Working in a mine or driving a lorry can bring a salary of a hundred thousand pounds a year, as evidenced when Simon meets a former binman from hull who is now living the dream, with a beautiful house in the sun, private pool and his very own boat.

温吞的像白开水一样，黑白色调是绝对的减分项，非常个人表达的作品。
成年后兀自感到的孤独和失落可能源于已经忘记的儿时经历的不愉快，偶尔在某一刻又回忆想起，想要记录下来当时却没有纸笔，随后安慰自己算了吧，也不是什么重要的事情。
一种私人电影的感受，叔叔对侄子的爱我才是深有体会，猫要是成精了就该差不多侄子这样吧（又黏人又聒噪又精力充沛又可爱……还能咋呀😤打破杯子这种小事，反省下来自然是应该买个猫爬架给它）小孩子在长大之前不要成年，享受海浪和风，保有性情，对一切纤细的感受力，维护人性的天真，不要把世界让给“成年人”，他们不美。
是在我看来 今年年度最佳 也是将来我会一直记住的电影之一 it’s okay when you are not fine and it’s okay to learn all that from kids as they know so much more than us
8.1/通过叔叔与侄子的短暂相处来重新审视语言与情感，而电影通过纪录片与记叙片的切换来重审倾听/表述的重要性 - 短信/阅读/电话/对话/采访 - 去了解自己和他人最好的方式。电影通过slow pan & slow zoom & melancholic music & black and white来艺术化的表现可能却徒增了一些不必要的boredom。
「深沉而轻盈」，这应该是很舒缓的一部电影，可惜我最近太焦灼不安了，这100分钟里我时而睡着，时而切换去做别的事情，实在不能静下心来。不能在对话里获得慰藉，不能感受到关系的修复和延伸，我浪费了这部电影。
话太密了 孩子总有一个阶段如此招人讨厌又自以为是 但又真挚纯真

整体情绪仍旧是平静温和
这个时代下，孩子成熟坚强得像个大人，大人们脆弱崩溃得像个孩子，孩子们对未来的世界充满了悲观与不确定，但仿佛已经做好了心理建设，大人们回首过去的种种痛苦，只会哑然一笑，明白这也是孩子们的必经之路。刻意的选择了美国东西南北四座代表性的城市后，最终我们还是一起在大自然中肆意放声呐喊。be funny, comma, when you can, period. （还有，很久不见非常非常赞的黑白摄影。）
如果不是因为不会英文，导致我得时时刻刻看着字幕的话，这其实是一部听觉部分胜过视觉部分的电影（镜头其实很棒），主要是黑白的镜头削弱了我视觉上的关注，而电影通过录影的形式，让我们可以听见孩子们的声音，我认为这是一部需要倾听的电影。

站在同时可以理解小孩子和大人的今天，觉得自己还是更像小孩子啊
温柔的华金，也穿匡威。我也觉得没必要用黑白，并无更突出的表意。
小朋友治愈了兄妹关系，小朋友们给大人讲了很多他们不明白的道理，小朋友活得更明白更快乐
扮演一些角色（和自己对话）以及把自己藏起来让大人焦虑，这些把戏我太熟悉了。
