The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 粉丝向作品，表演刻意，音乐随意，缺乏亮点，强行催泪。
使用音乐剧作为全片载体是对原型的最大尊重，重要的是首首好听。
林聚聚还是专心写歌吧……演员和音乐情绪都很到位，但感觉更像是一部舞台剧而不是电影。为了加菲再多给一星。
开篇很棒。作为传记电影，材料编织甚至做到了让观众能理解“生平+编剧叙事”双结构的程度，这一点相当不错。

才华，真是一种太残酷的东西。纽约艺术青年们的生活状态，都是同一种模式咩？那些并没有绝对的才华的人，后来又怎样了呢？可能是因为没有看过rent吧…等以后看了，不知道会不会回来改分。

电影还行吧。但乔纳森的经历更让我触动，他在《吉屋出租》开演之前就去世了，这让他成为一位最纯粹的艺术家和理想主义者。
又丧又燃
而加菲所有关于内心戏的舞台独白段落，像是在突破第四面墙与观众对话，却让整个片更像舞台剧，也让它比看上去更适合剧院而不是做成电影。

3.5 音乐很行，剧情比较割裂，人很可惜。
从出生开始，我们就被年龄催促鞭打着向前，
音乐剧传记片，创作者困境故事，个人情感充沛，整体渲染扁平，除了加菲其他角色都不讨喜。
音乐剧粉滤镜加成，看到了很多Rent的影子，LMM这情怀牌很会打啊。
很多人终其一生也没有找到自己喜欢的领域和愿意为之奋斗终生的热情。但拉森找到了，他的一生虽然短暂，但我相信他享受在小公寓里创作的每一秒钟。
