During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 感觉都不像个电影了……精致的摄影+大段的莎剧独白，动用这么庞大的财力就是为了拍一部真·电影化的舞台剧?
极简主义，风格化摄影，只是莎翁在被翻拍过无数遍后很难再有突破、丹泽尔·华盛顿和科恩嫂的表演也缺乏惊喜。
科恩兄将戏剧搬进摄影棚的艺术探索了大概是，但作为电影去看那这过分文本化的对白确实拗口出戏，然而又很符合A24诡异的气质，丹泽尔和科恩嫂的演绎是绝对衬得起莎士比亚的剧本的。
至于画面、故事、美术那差的更加不是一星半点。
这部已经用了这样的主创，还是不得要领。
极简的表现主义，麦克白较中规中矩的一次影像呈现。但作为科恩本人的重大突破，风格化（包括剧情的演绎）当然是成功的
极简场景和摄人光影是本片独特气质的最大贡献者，其余部分没什么亮点。空镜最震撼
被黑人麦克白惊到了，虽然是丹泽尔华盛顿，看了一会儿还是耿耿于怀，本来情节就没啥兴趣，这画面风格更难受，算了吧。
像是戏剧，但又有不同于戏剧（即电影）的表现手法。场景很宏大，但近景又看不太出。
尽管我确实是一个痴迷于风格化电影语言的人，但乔尔科恩这部转型之作实在难称满意，丹泽尔华盛顿和McDormand的表演确实很好，但在这种稠密层叠的黑白光影和A24画幅下，这两位老熟人实在难以搭建一场信服感强烈的莎翁对手戏。而剧本对于原文台词的保留，与通篇浓郁的后现代解构意味和极简置景之间，并没有做到气质上的想通，以至于全片浓郁的当代戏剧感完全压过了电影感，也许他希望观众从中能看到德莱叶，看到伯格曼，但很遗憾我实在做不到。
光影摄影，场面调度，灯光走位牛到爆炸！看片的时候一直在要是能在大银幕欣赏这片儿是不是视觉感官就爽爆了！我的丹泽尔华盛顿依旧演技爆棚，台词拽哦！这一届奥斯卡男主是不是没跑了!!!静待3月颁奖。Ps：默默拿出沙翁的《麦克白》复习一下
绝佳的美术和氛围营造使本片充满了电影感，但故事和人物刻画都不足，演员表演上乘。
从两部黑白4:3看到两部彩色2.35:1，又回到黑白4:3，给人一种时光倒流的感觉。可能是因为库泽尔那版已经把现代感做到极致了，科恩要是再拍肯定躲不出波兰斯基跟库泽尔的影子，只好另辟蹊径，复古。很长一段我是对着剧本看的，果然跟我的直观感受是一致的，这一部在台词上与原著契合度惊人的高，原著台词保有量在五版中排到第一位。但即使如此，改编还是不少，例如麦克德夫是剖腹而生竟然索性直接不说了，还有洛斯怎么存在感这么高。科恩版跟最早的奥胖版是最有共同之处的，他们俩在写导演阐述的时候，总体处理原则肯定都是“表现”，尤其表现在布景上。不过当然，科恩版的现代建筑比奥胖版的原始山洞看起来要舒服太多了。这版我觉得最大的问题就是不温不火，你一眼就能看出从各个方面来说这必然是一部精致的作品，但就是让人兴奋不起来。
老莎的东西，你们敢说不好？还是你们觉得影帝影后表演不行？
一言难尽，但作为麦克白电影演绎的比法鲨那版好。
像是在看舞台剧一样。莎翁可以拍，但没什么必要。个人不太喜欢丹泽尔·华盛顿扮演的麦克白，感觉就是把《籓篱》的表演模式照搬了过来。
没觉得有什么大的突兀 其实反映出水平的相当不错了
