Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'

汤姨豁的出去，对手演员接得住戏。娓娓道来的谈论性，谈论愉悦，谈论亲子关系，谈论对人生的掌控。中间听着甚至有些共情和泪目。希望我们都有信心可以去做自己想做的事情。
一切都太像一部话剧了，顺理成章的职业与压抑，顺理成章的身体羞耻，顺理成章的冲突与和解，几乎就是一篇命题作文。因此尽管它提供了一个很好的观照视角，它仍然很不真实。更何况，由一个年轻貌美谈吐优雅的男娼来“解放”一个中年妇女的叙事看似惊世骇俗，实则保守（一种老男人嫖雏妓的对位叙事）。男主的形象亦颇为扁平，我们无力分清他的言行举止有多少真情实感，又有多少只是出于“职业道德”（毕竟敬业的色情演员简直不要太多）。艾玛·汤普森的演技精湛到了可歌可泣的地步，但本片的深度也就止步于此了。毕竟诚如戴老师所言，“我不相信消费能提高女性的地位”；钟点一到，女老师裸身自鉴无比洒脱，然而这究竟是“犹可脱也”还是“不可脱也”？

室内戏本身的形式还是太过局限了一点 所有感触的点都来自于艾玛汤普森 她的皱纹 她的白发 她的不完美的肉体 感谢导演如此的剧本 也感谢她的出演

对话写得蛮好，但是男主的角色设定不太合理，被忽视的原生家庭下真的能塑造出这样耐心且愿意聆听的性格吗……P. S这不就是提供性服务的心理咨询师吗……

最后的几分钟有点意思。高端鸭。我更希望这一切都是男主预料之中的，包括争吵以及和他弟弟坦白并告诉女主，目的就是引起女主的共鸣而最后达到高潮。这或许也是他热爱这份工作的成就感。
电影本质上跟男主是一样的，提供一种幻想服务，重点是 find your pleasure and honor it
疫情解封后的百老汇音乐剧+911 20周年纪念让这部作品天然意义非凡，相比《汉密尔顿》讲述美国国父背后的男人的丰功伟绩，《来自远方》展现了加拿大纽芬兰岛民的力量与善意，it's a celebration of humanity，这是对普通人的赞歌。

悲催的是，老年电影本身作为芝麻市场还有从中挑出老年女性电影市场；更悲催的是，老年女性电影市场通常还寄生在传记片（比如《铁娘子》）、喜剧片（比如《涉外大饭店》）、恐怖片（比如《X》）的阴影之下，再排除疾病剥削和老弱剥削简直所剩无几，这一次让人很难不联想又利用了老年性爱剥削。不过，主题上老年性爱的旗帜之风最近刮得很大，于情于理性与爱都是人之常情，而且Emma为荧幕献身老年躯体，精神可嘉；介质上，溢出的舞台剧劣性，溢出的说教语气，但流媒时代的“电影”我们还能要求什么启示？
